This report present the study carried out in order to analyze the details of the motorcyclist dynamics when a run off accident happens. Aspects such as impact angles, trajectories, distance of sliding on the carriageway, injuries, … have been investigated to define the better impact conditions to be contained in the standard proposal. The information consulted for this document comes mainly from two ‘in depth’ accident databases: MAIDS project database (‘In-depth investigation of motorcyclist accidents’ European project) and CIDAUT database (CIDAUT in-depth motorcyclist accidents database is called ‘DIANA’).
