Accident analysis work is included int SP8 to support the research carried
out in the whole Integrated project at the basis.
Specific objective is:
-Address the most critical questions regarding real world accident characteristics
of side impact collisions involving cars, heavy trucks versus pedestrians
and/or cyclists and against cars, including the stratistical distributions
of main parameters and description of typical crash types.
Work of the workpackage WP8.3 is part of subproject 8 that is divided into 3 work packages dealing with training, innovation related activities and accident analysis.
In this accident analysis task, the partners include 3 car manufacturers,
3 research institutes and 1 university. This task is headed by Yves Page
from Regienov in France.
This SP finished its activities in October 2005.
