| About SP3: pedestrians/cyclists accidents | |
| This project paves the way for the introduction
of new protection systems to protect pedestrians and pedal cyclists in all
relevant crashes involving passenger cars, MPVs and SUV's. The focus is
on the priority vulnerable road user groups of children and elderly.
Specific research objectives are:
The sub project is organized in 4 work areas, dealing with real world accident data analysis, computer modeling of scenarios and components and system development and testing. The partners include 3 OEM's, 5 suppliers, 5 research institutes and
3 universities. The Sub Project is headed by Roger Hardy from Cranfield
